I started trading crypto in 2018. Long term holding and swing trading, mostly coins that actually shape the industry rather than whatever happened to be pumping that week.

Then I wanted to trade intraday. So I went looking for the best traders in the world and paid for their courses and their signal groups. Some were scams. Some were genuinely good.

Then I backtested all of them.

Every call. Every trade they described as profitable. What came back was staggering. Most crypto gurus do not report their win rate accurately. They do not report their losses. And almost none of them report realized gains after fees and funding come out.

So I kept testing until I had something with an edge that still stands up once the position is closed and the costs are paid.
